OTIMAX YAM POUNDER USER INSTRUCTIONS

Thank you for choosing Otimax Yam Pounder, your ultimate solution for quick, efficient, and effortless yam pounding. Please follow the instructions below to ensure the best performance and durability of your machine.

🔹 BOILING YAM

    Boil yam until soft but not overcooked – especially important when using new yam.

    Ensure no water enters the pounding chamber when transferring yam into the machine.

🔹 USING THE YAM POUNDER

    Switch ON the power button and allow the machine to run for 30 seconds.

    Pound at 30-second intervals until you achieve your desired texture.

    Do NOT add water directly to the yam inside the chamber.

        If needed, pour water around the inner wall of the chamber – not on the yam.

    Use a plastic scooper to remove the pounded yam after use.

🔹 DETACHING THE POUNDING CHAMBER (POT)

    Turn the chamber (pot) clockwise to unlock.

    Lift carefully by holding the pounding blade upward.

    Wash thoroughly and allow to dry.

    Lubricate the blade base with a drop of cooking oil after drying.

🔹 COUPLING THE POUNDING CHAMBER (POT)

    Hold the pounding blade and lower the pot into the machine’s hollow chamber.

    Gently press down and rotate left and right quickly until it clicks into place.

    Then, turn anti-clockwise to lock the pot firmly.

    Alternative: If you find it difficult to detach and fix the pot, you may wash it gently while fixed, but ensure no water enters the machine base. After cleaning, apply a drop of cooking oil for lubrication.

🔹 DURING POUNDING

    Avoid over-pounding to prevent a rubbery texture.

    Run the machine for up to 90 seconds in total.

    Turn OFF the machine to check texture, then repeat if needed.

    Support the lid with your hand while pounding to prevent spillage.

    Keep the machine away from water contact at the base.

    Always lubricate the blade base lightly after washing.

    Store in a dry, clean place when not in use.
